Creativity and innovation
- Creativity and innovation the order of the day at the CRHA!
EPSI once again had a novel experience for CRHA delegates at the International French-speaking Human Resources Convention held on October 17 and 18, 2011 in Quebec City. In line with the theme "Creativity and Innovation - Explore your right brain," we brought the topic to the forefront by showcasing our cutting-edge assessment solutions and our innovative technology tools. Participants said they were particularly impressed with the Competency Profiler and Interview Builder applications that have truly revolutionized the field of talent management. Our Online Assessment System also generated a lot of buzz among the participants we came into contact with. Its user-friendliness and accessibility make it a must-have for those who use psychometric tools and are looking for a wide range of products suited to their needs.
Our president André Durivage and our Senior Assessment and Evaluation Advisor Sabrina Poirier directed an interactive workshop on competency management which presented a vision of the future. The session was very popular with delegates and was a particularly good fit with the main theme of this year's event. Sabrina also highlighted EPSI's expertise at the conference by presenting her expert opinions on "Studio RH" which will air on the CHRA website.

The 13th "CHU" Management Conference
- The 13th "CHU" Management Conference: a resounding success!
The 13th CHU (Centre hospitalier universitaire) Management conference was held at the Quebec City Convention Centre on September 16, 2011 and what a wonderful experience it was! This masterfully organized event was the perfect occasion for us to mingle with managers in all areas of healthcare and social services. It was EPSI's first chance to participate as a "Silver Sponsor," which provided us with an excellent opportunity in which to share our expertise through our exhibitor's stand. This year's theme "Together, let's imagine a network..." was extremely relevant in regards to the products and services we offer and we took advantage of this unique opportunity to share our pre-qualification process when hiring administrative support staff and to present our selection tools for management-level positions. All these assessment products are available via our web platform which allows for secure testing.
Our extensive expertise in the healthcare and social services sectors (i.e. with the Outaouais, Montreal and Chaudière-Appalaches Health and Social Services Agencies) has led us to further explore opportunities with new and existing clients and we eagerly look forward to providing our services to these sectors which are vital to our communities.

Société Québécoise de Psychologie du Travail et des Organisations (SQPTO)
- The SQPTO Puts on a Grand Event!
The SQPTO (Société Québécoise de Psychologie du Travail et des Organisations) held their annual conference on May 26th and 27th and what an event it was! In an atmosphere that was conducive to learning and fruitful discussions, participants got the opportunity to share common experiences and approach various work psychologists and other related professionals on site. The theme this year was “Oser recréer les relations entre l’humain et les organisations” and as primary sponsor of this organization, EPSI was once again very present. Not only were EPSI professionals available at our booth to answer any questions, we were also invited to create and present one of the workshops which focused on the integration of a competency approach to deal with talent shortages. EPSI experts Sabrina Poirier and Philippe Longpré presented, to a near capacity crowd, a portrait of competency based management in different parts of the western world and new talent management strategies. The presentation culminated in a demonstration of a new and innovative tool that, with the help of new technologies, EPSI implemented in a partner organization in France. Judging from the reactions and discussions taking place after the presentation, the information was well-received and participants were quite intrigued. Congratulations to our two presenters for an informative and entertaining presentation and to the SQPTO for organizing another successful event. See you all there next year!
CDSG Training Workshop
Gatineau, Quebec- EPSI is now contributing to the development of Gatineau's athletes!
Over the years, EPSI has always been committed to becoming involved in the community and, more specifically, has sought to contribute to the development of elite athletes from our region. This is why on March 17th, EPSI President André Durivage PhD, was invited by Le Centre de développement du sport de Gatineau (CDSG) to discuss the evolution of psychometric testing in sports and to showcase our very own psychometric test for athletes, the General Profiler for Sports (GPS). The presentation was part of the coaching workshops that are being regularly organized by CDSG Director, Denis Piché. During this session over 30 coaches, from in and around the region, were present. The coaches were able to see the added value of having their athletes take a test that would identify their athletic personality profile while others were enthusiastic about using this tool for their recruitment and selection needs. 2011 NCAA Conference
San Antonio, Texas- EPSI enters the world of sports!
NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) hosted more than 3000 members for its 6th Annual Conference. EPSI's Sports Division was extended the opportunity to attend this event and showcase its knowledge and experience in the world of sports and present the General Profiler for Sports (GPS). The GPS, a test to identify the characteristics of elite level athletes, was presented to various influential members of this reputable Association from across the USA. The event allowed for the establishment of numerous interesting contacts and revealed exciting opportunities for EPSI. We can now say that EPSI has successfully joined the fascinating world of professional sports!
The OCRH's 13th Annual World Human Resources Congress
Quebec, Quebec- A warm international presence at the OCRH's Congress
The Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines (OCRH) was hosting the 13th Annual World Human Resources Congress, whose theme was "HR Without Limits". EPSI shared its expertise in front of nearly 3500 HR professionals from all over the world, showcasing its most recent developments in terms of personnel assessment and selection practices. EPSI also used the occasion to officially launch its most recent assessment tool, the Organizational Values Test (OVT). HR specialists were very optimistic with this new tool, which will allow businesses to substantially improve their organizational efficiency. EPSI will be present again next year, on October 17 and 18, 2011 at the Quebec City Convention Centre. Come and join us!
