About the Doctor
Dr. André Durivage is the president and founder of EPSI Inc. He has more than 26 years of experience working in both private and public sectors, as well as with national governments across the world, consulting on test development, assessment centers, competency-based assessment, career development, personnel selection method and human resources management.
After receiving his PhD in Psychology in 1986, Dr. Durivage joined the Personnel Psychology Center of the Public Service Commission of Canada, where he served as Chief of the Assessment Services and Programs Division and Team Leader in the Test Development Unit. In this capacity, he was responsible for the development and implementation of a wide range of selection solutions used throughout the Canadian Federal Government. Dr. Durivage also worked in the Research and Development Branch of the Canadian Police College, where he conducted major research studies with Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal police forces.
His vast expertise in test development touches upon all employment levels including clerical support, technicians, professionals, managers and executives. Along with his experience in the arbitration of grievances, as President of EPSI, Dr. Durivage has successfully defended many appeals at the provincial and federal level. He has published numerous scientific and professional articles in various journals and has written many articles within the framework of national and international conventions. Dr. Durivage is also the co-author of a book, The Structured Interview: Enhancing Staff Selection and has written many professional articles.
